For this 2nd edition in Angers on the 14th and 15th January 2008, Vegepolys has chosen the theme of Creating Value.

VEGEPOLYS, competitiveness cluster with a worldwide reach:
a pooled, cross-sector approach to specialist plants

A competitiveness cluster consists of companies, research centres, and training organisations in a given region getting together to undertake innovative projects aimed at strengthening all the companies’ competitiveness.

VEGEPOLYS is located in the Pays de la Loire region and brings together 8 branches of the specialist plant field:

  • horticulture
  • fruits and vegetables
  • seeds
  • viticulture
  • medicinal and aromatic plants
  • mushrooms
  • cider apples
  • tobacco

The cluster brings together companies involved directly and indirectly in plant growing with trade associations, unions, and development bodies as well as chambers of trade and commerce.

Its objective is to become a world reference for innovation in plant growing.

Our range of services

National and international networks

VEGEPOLYS places its whole network of companies, branches, partners at the disposal of its members. It facilitates contact between them, enables links to be forged, identifies potential partnerships within the area and also with other French or non-French centres, etc.

Support for R&D projects

From the initial idea to financing the concrete project, Végépolys accompanies you throughout your project's life cycle. Végépolys has entrusted Angers Technopole with the technical and scientific accompaniment of projects, as it already possesses the requisite skills.

Centre of Business and Territorial Intelligence: CIET

To anticipate changes, to guide company research and development, Végépolys has created a resource centre for use by its members (situation monitoring, studies, etc.).

Two innovation centres: VALINOV, Plante & Cité

To facilitate access to research, 2 innovation centres pooling skills from 4 platforms (variety innovation, sanitary quality of seeds and plants, health/well-being, the urban landscape) are set up.

A schedule of events and encounters

All year round we run a schedule of events for members to extend their knowledge and skills: conferences, theme meetings, forum, breakfast, training, overseas missions, etc. A variety of programmes for expanding your vision of the world, cementing new contacts, anticipating change, etc.

National and international communication

The cluster's communication strategy is aimed at extending its reputation, developing its network, and promoting the value of its members. A range of tools is set aside for them.
